We loved that the speaker is easy to set-up, provides impressive sound, and allows you to control your music from any room.
With that said, not everyone is after the same thing when it comes to wireless speakers. The acceptable sound quality level varies from user to user and the right wireless speaker for you sometimes depends on apps and connectivity.

How Does It Work?
Whether you’ve set up wireless speakers before or this is your first one, the Bose SoundTouch 10 speaker is very easy to manage.
After everything is unboxed, you simply plug the cord into the speaker and then into the nearest outlet. Press the “On” button located on the speaker itself or via the remote control.
Next, connect the speaker to your Wi-Fi. If this is your first SoundTouch speaker, you need to download the app on your phone. The prompts will guide you through pairing the device with your internet or Bluetooth.
From there, you can use the app to connect your favorite streaming service with the speaker. Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora are all compatible with the SoundTouch.
All other devices with Bluetooth can be connected to this speaker, including a TV or a separate music system.
Once you have music or other sound playing through the speaker, you can use the remote, an Amazon Alexa-enable device, or the app to change the song, turn the volume up or down, like or dislike certain selections, and pause and stop what’s playing. It’s that simple!
Bose: The Brand
Bose was created in 1964 by Amar Bose, who bought a stereo system but ended up disappointed with the quality. This led him to research sound and eventually create the speaker company so many people know and love.
While the business originally sold only home sound systems, they now sell wireless speakers, audio sunglasses, noise-cancelling headphones, noise-masking earbuds, car sound systems, and even professional audio equipment.
Their mission is to create “better sound through research” – keeping in line with their original goals.

The Bose SoundTouch 10 Wireless Speaker is impressively easy to set up. You won’t need any expert advice or prior experience.
Once you plug in the device and download the SoundTouch app, you need only follow the prompts. It walks you through the entire process, including connecting the speaker to your favorite streaming service or anything with an auxiliary input.
From there, you can use the app or remote control to play and skip songs or change the volume. If you want to do it manually, there are also controls right on the speaker.
Thanks to an intuitive app with easy-to-follow instructions, Bose makes it easy to get this speaker up and going so you can bask in great sound quality pretty much right away.
If you’re a big fan of music or even podcasts, this speaker is for you. It’s super versatile in its construction especially in regards to the apps it can connect to and work with. You won’t be forced to choose a favorite with the SoundTouch.
We loved how many streaming services and other devices they could connect to this Bose speaker. It doesn’t matter if you like Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, iTunes, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM – or all of the above!
They’re all able to connect seamlessly with the speaker via Bluetooth or your Wi-Fi connection. You can even connect your Alexa-enabled device to the speaker and control it with voice commands.
No matter what you’re into, or the media you want to stream, chances are, this Bose speaker will be able to pick it up, giving you limitless options on the entertainment you can heighten with it.
With the Bose wireless speaker, you don’t even have to be in the same room to control your music. What’s more convenient than that?
When you’re upstairs and want to change the sound, the speaker downstairs can still recognize the command from your smartphone or Alexa. Thanks to Alexa, you probably won’t even have to lift a finger!
So long as there’s a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, you can change the music selection, power the device up, or shut it down without having to hunt for the speaker again.
As a bonus, Bose has included a one-touch preset system so you can program your favorite playlists, stations or podcasts right into the speaker.
So while you won’t have to hunt down your speaker, you won’t have to hunt down your favorite song either.
Really Good Sound
A speaker isn’t worth much unless it provides great sound. Luckily, Bose has been known for outstanding audio over the years.
Based on our observations, the praise they’ve received has been warranted. Your music will fill the room despite the small build of this design.
You’ll experience a rich sound that’ll make you feel like you’re at a concert instead of in your living room, hearing notes you never could before. Music lovers will definitely appreciate the attention to sound quality put into these speakers.
Whether you’re looking to listen to your favorite album, host an event, or immerse yourself in a movie, the Bose SoundTouch is sure to please in the sound department.
Even though these speakers pack a punch, they won’t be a heavy burden to have around. At a little under three pounds in weight, you can pick up and transport the Bose SoundTouch 10 Wireless Speaker just about anywhere.
The days of lugging around heavy speakers are over. The updated audio technology has seen to that by including smart technology and removing most cumbersome wire connections.
With this wireless design, you can easily move the Bose speaker from room to room, take it to a friend’s house, or pack it for a vacation without feeling like you’re expending too much effort.
Its compact size makes it easily portable. You won’t have to worry about it adding too much weight to any bag you put it in, and it won’t be taking up too much space either.
As such, when you choose to put it on display, it will blend seamlessly into a variety of decor styles and homes, bringing you quality sound and music without stealing all the visual attention.
On the Pricier Side
If you’re looking into any Bose speaker, you should expect to pay more than the average price. Bose is known for its high-quality speakers and devices which usually push Bose products into a pricier category.
At around $200 on Amazon, the SoundTouch is definitely on the pricier side when compared to other wireless speakers on the market. However, you are paying for quality.
Like Apple, people know the Bose name for the high-grade and unique products they provide. If the price tag is too high, there are plenty of alternative brands on the market, though they may not provide the same sound quality or durability.
Beware of High Volumes
If you’re planning on cranking this Bose speaker all the way up for the ultimate rager, we’ll advise against that. In some instances, cranking the volume to the max on these speakers could distort the sound of your audio – specifically when it comes to the bass and treble.
While this depends on how specific you are about your audio, if you’re looking for a wider and louder range of volume from these speakers, you’ll be better off grabbing two or more of these speakers to really make the best of them.
Fortunately Bose makes it easy and has designed the Bose SoundTouch to be paired with others of its kind to create a broader sound network.
Needs a Strong Connection
You’ll need a strong connection when using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with the Bose smart speakers. If not, you’re likely to have some issues with connectivity.
Your connection might go in and out or stop altogether resulting in a less enjoyable experience all around. It could be a tiring act to have to reconnect your device in the middle of a playlist.
You’ll need a wireless connection to stream music directly from these speakers, if not you’ll still be able to connect these speakers to other devices via an AUX cord. But where’s the fun in that?
While this isn’t a major warning, we do recommend ensuring your connections are solid before purchasing the Bose SoundTouch.
This video shows what the Bose SoundTouch 10 Wireless Speaker looks like out of the box and in action.
After going over all the positives and negatives, we do recommend the Bose SoundTouch 10 Wireless Speaker.
With the easy set-up, convenience, and quality sound that most testers experienced, this speaker is difficult to compete with.
If you’re in the market for a new speaker and are looking for something you can control wirelessly, the SoundTouch 10s may be exactly what you need.
Nonetheless, if the price is beyond your budget, you may be deterred from buying this speaker. If that’s a deal-breaker for your music preferences, then keep shopping. Otherwise, this model is totally worth checking out.
