After everything is unboxed, you simply plug the cord into the speaker and then into the nearest outlet. Press the “On” button located on the speaker itself or via the remote control.

Next, connect the speaker to your Wi-Fi. If this is your first SoundTouch speaker, you need to download the app on your phone. The prompts will guide you through pairing the device with your internet or Bluetooth.

From there, you can use the app to connect your favorite streaming service with the speaker. Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora are all compatible with the SoundTouch.

All other devices with Bluetooth can be connected to this speaker, including a TV or a separate music system.

Once you have music or other sound playing through the speaker, you can use the remote, an Amazon Alexa-enable device, or the app to change the song, turn the volume up or down, like or dislike certain selections, and pause and stop what’s playing. It’s that simple!

The Bose SoundTouch 10 Wireless Speaker is impressively easy to set up. You won’t need any expert advice or prior experience.

Once you plug in the device and download the SoundTouch app, you need only follow the prompts. It walks you through the entire process, including connecting the speaker to your favorite streaming service or anything with an auxiliary input.

From there, you can use the app or remote control to play and skip songs or change the volume. If you want to do it manually, there are also controls right on the speaker.

Thanks to an intuitive app with easy-to-follow instructions, Bose makes it easy to get this speaker up and going so you can bask in great sound quality pretty much right away.

While this depends on how specific you are about your audio, if you’re looking for a wider and louder range of volume from these speakers, you’ll be better off grabbing two or more of these speakers to really make the best of them.

Needs a Strong Connection

You’ll need a strong connection when using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with the Bose smart speakers. If not, you’re likely to have some issues with connectivity.

Your connection might go in and out or stop altogether resulting in a less enjoyable experience all around. It could be a tiring act to have to reconnect your device in the middle of a playlist.

You’ll need a wireless connection to stream music directly from these speakers, if not you’ll still be able to connect these speakers to other devices via an AUX cord. But where’s the fun in that?

While this isn’t a major warning, we do recommend ensuring your connections are solid before purchasing the Bose SoundTouch.
